About Us
At The French Lab, we believe language is best learned through experience—not just textbooks. That’s why we’ve designed an immersive learning environment that brings French to life through conversation, culture, and real-world context. From day one, students are encouraged to think, speak, and interact in French.
Our mission is to empower learners of all ages to confidently communicate in French and connect with global culture.
Central to our approach is our immersive French language policy in the classroom: French is the primary language spoken during all sessions. This full-immersion experience accelerates fluency, builds confidence, and helps students naturally absorb vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation.
We welcome learners of all ages from 7 and up—with the important note that children must be able to read to participate. We’re currently focused on teens and adults, with kids' classes launching in January 2026.
Students come from diverse backgrounds—professionals, travelers, expats, and lifelong learners—but all share a common goal: to become truly fluent. With consistently high attendance and engagement, our classes are vibrant, collaborative, and full of real progress.
To celebrate that progress, we award a Certificate of Completion to students who attend all classes in their program.
We are also deeply committed to making French learning accessible to all, regardless of background or income. That’s why we offer affordable pricing options, because we believe that language education should be a door that opens—not a barrier that blocks.

Meet Marine
I’m Marine – a passionate educator/teacher, proud French native, and founder of The French Lab. I was born in France and grew up between Paris and Rennes, where I developed an early love for both the elegance of the French language and the depth of its culture, and a passion for Science.
After earning my Master’s degree in Education and Sciences at the University of Rennes 1, and taught, I moved to the United States to immerse myself in a new language and culture. These experiences taught me that language isn’t just a tool for communication — it’s a doorway into connection, confidence, and cultural belonging. This personal journey fuels my empathy and understanding as a teacher. I know firsthand what it means to feel excited (and sometimes overwhelmed!) when learning a new language
With over a decade of teaching experience in both the sciences and French as a Foreign Language (FLE), I’ve witnessed how powerful it is when a student feels seen, supported, and guided. The French Lab is more than a school: it’s a community where curiosity meets culture, and where structured learning meets laughter, a warm and encouraging space where students can grow, speak, and thrive in French — at their own pace, and with joy.
