  • Themes: Relive the nostalgia and excitement of the French rentrée! We will write about classic school traditions: the iconic school photo (la photo de classe), picking out the perfect first-day outfit (la tenue de la rentrée), and the emotional journey of changing schools and making new friends (changer d’école et se faire de nouveaux amis).

October: Spécial Grands Auteurs – Zoom on Alexandre Dumas: Dates: October 4th,11th,18th,25th

  • Themes: Immerse yourself in the thrilling worlds of one of France’s greatest literary icons. Our dictations will feature carefully adapted excerpts from masterpieces like Les Trois Mousquetaires, Le Comte de Monte-Cristo, and La Reine Margot.

November: Spécial Grands Auteurs – Zoom on Victor Hugo: Dates: November 1st,8th,15th,22nd

  • Themes: Explore the powerful, poetic, and dramatic world of France’s ultimate literary giant. We will dive into evocative excerpts from his monumental works, including the emotional depths of Les Misérables, the gothic atmosphere of Notre-Dame de Paris, and some of his most beautiful, moving poetry (such as Demain, dès l’aube).

December: Contes et Traditions de Noël en France: Dates: Nov 29th, dec 6th, 13th and 20th

  • Themes: Get into the winter spirit by exploring the enchanting holiday fairy tales, folklore, and regional traditions that make Christmas in France so magical, from the lights of Paris to the cozy markets of Alsace.
