Start your IB French B success with Sharing the planet. Turn your French into an IB 7 !

Examine how humans interact with and impact the environment and global community.In the fifth and final week of the IB French B Intensive Summer Program, students focus on the theme Sharing the Planet, a key IB concept that appears frequently in oral and written assessments. Through dynamic discussions, guided practice, and exam-focused activities, students learn to express their ideas, opinions, and reflections on global issues, sustainability, and environmental responsibility in French.

1) Schedule (Monday – Friday)

HL Students
10:00 AM – 1:00 PM

SL Students
2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Each day includes three hours of intensive training combining vocabulary development, communication practice and exam strategies specifically designed for IB French B SL and HL students.

2) What students will learn

During this week, students develop the language needed to discuss topics such as:

• Environmental issues and sustainability

• Global challenges and human responsibility

• Cooperation between nations and communities

• Technology and innovation for environmental solutions

• Ethical considerations in sharing resources

Students will also learn how to present arguments and opinions effectively for IB speaking and writing tasks.

3) IB-style guiding questions

Students will explore questions frequently used in IB discussions, such as:

• How should humans balance development and sustainability?

• What responsibilities do we have toward future generations?

• How can cooperation improve global outcomes?

These discussions help students develop critical thinking and advanced communication skills, key elements of IB assessment criteria.

4) Friday: IB Mock Assessment

At the end of the week, students complete a realistic IB-style assessment designed to simulate exam conditions. Students receive:

✔ a predicted IB score
✔ detailed personalized feedback
✔ clear strategies to improve performance

Mastering Sharing the Planet allows students to confidently discuss global challenges, sustainability, and ethical responsibility, which are increasingly tested in IB French B exams.

By the end of the week, students will have:

Flexible Enrollment

Families can choose the option that best fits their summer schedule. Students may enroll for a single week or for multiple weeks depending on their goals and availability. Each week is designed as a complete and focused module built around one IB theme, allowing students to benefit from the program even if they join for a shorter period. However, students who participate in several weeks naturally gain the most from the program, as the progression allows them to reinforce vocabulary, deepen their communication skills and build stronger confidence across the different IB themes.

The structure of the program is therefore both flexible and progressive, offering families the freedom to choose while ensuring meaningful progress for every student.
